Tell us about yourself.

I’m a passionate website designer specializing in UX, UI, and visual storytelling, as well as a film editor. From a young age, I’ve been captivated by how design elements harmonize to evoke emotions, tell stories, and shape the experience of the reader, viewer, user.

For me, creativity is an ever-evolving journey. I hold my family and friends close to my heart, cherishing them above all else in life.

I feel a deep sense of peace and connection when listening to traditional music from Japan, Korea, China, and India — it touches me on a deeper level, evoking emotions I can’t easily put into words.

What do you enjoy most about living in Delta Coves?

There’s so much to love. If I had to chose one thing, it would be the people. This community is filled with warm-hearted, kind, caring, compassionate, and fun-loving individuals who make Delta Coves feel like the home I’ve been waiting for.

What are some of your favorite memories here?

Though I’m relatively new to the community, some of my favorite memories come from the simple joys – watching stunning sunrises over the water, chatting with neighbors as they kayak or boat past my dock, and connecting during community events.

Traditions like potlucks, food trucks, music on the lawn, and Duffy Days have already added so much warmth and charm to my time here.

What stands out most, however, is the kindness of neighbors — helping others in need and showing generosity to those they’ve just met. It’s been truly uplifting to see such kindness and generosity.

What inspired you to move to Delta Coves?

My husband, Sunil, and I have always dreamed of living close to nature. The serenity, peaceful atmosphere, and calming beauty of the water captured our hearts. It’s a place where we can truly recharge and feel deeply connected to nature.

How long have you called Delta Coves home?

I moved to Delta Coves in April 2024.

What do you think makes Delta Coves a great community?

Delta Coves offers stunning water views, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, Island Camp, and activities like yoga, pickleball, and book club. But what truly makes it special is the people.

In my short time here, I’ve met incredible neighbors whose kindness and sense of community make it feel like home, where connections feel natural, and friendships form effortlessly.

What are your favorite types of crafts to work on?

I love exploring colors and textures! My favorites include embroidery, fabric arts, fabric painting, creating collages, Ikebana and making natural aromatics using essential oils, herbs, spices, and flowers.

What inspired you to start Cove Crafters and Creativity Club?

Art has always inspired me and given me a sense of balance and calm, and while I’ve always appreciated creating in an artistic way, I wanted to bring the joy of hands-on crafting to a community setting.

When I met wonderful Meghana — my partner in crime — we bonded over her passion for crocheting and an idea to start a craft club. Together, we envisioned a space where neighbors could connect, share their creativity, and make lasting memories while crafting. Cove Crafters & Creativity is about more than just making crafts — it’s about fostering connections and building a sense of community.

How can a neighbor become involved in Cove Crafters?

Joining Cove Crafters & Creativity Club is easy and fun. We host monthly workshops on the second Tuesday, featuring unique crafts and seasonal themes for all skill levels. Updates are shared on the Delta Coves Facebook page, so keep an eye out for those.

We also welcome neighbors to lead workshops or share their creative talents — there’s always room for fresh ideas!

Do you have a favorite community event?

I enjoy the potlucks, summer activities, games and music on the lawn and food truck events.

What are your favorite water activities?

My absolute favorite is simply enjoying the sunrise over the water. There’s something magical about sitting in the patio, or by the dock, listening to the gentle sounds of the water, and watching the sky transform with color — it’s pure bliss.

I’d love to start water activities like kayaking, it seems like such a wonderful way to connect with the water and take in the beauty of Delta Coves from a different perspective.

What other clubs and activities are you involved with within the neighborhood or Delta?

I haven’t had the chance to explore many activities yet, but I’d like to check out the book club, yoga, water aerobics, and maybe even try pickleball. In the future, I might consider volunteering, especially in education-related efforts on Bethel Island.

What's an interesting fact others might not know about you?

Here’s a fun one: I’m married to a film scriptwriter, director, and researcher – all rolled into one! And yes, that’s just one husband, not three.
