Delta Coves energy thrives on building community and connection within the neighborhood. It’s a place where neighbors know neighbors, where they help one another – whether that means tying up a boat or lending a cup of sugar.
The Warm Whale-come Crew
Resident volunteers make up the entirety of the Warm Whale-come Crew in Delta Coves. The group serves three roles within the community:
- Provide a warm welcome to all new neighbors
- Be a neighbor connector
- Serve as a steward for the Delta Coves Maintenance Corporation
Simply put, these residents connect with new neighbors to help them feel the warmth and energy that residents have built into this place.
Getting Involved
If continuing to build the magic of the neighborhood connection speaks to you, email Community Life to volunteer as a Warm Whale-come Crew member. Once on the team, the team captain will provide you with a new neighbor or two to connect with each month.
With your neighbor assignment, you’ll reach out to Community Life to arrange gift pick up. Introduce yourself to your new neighbor and coordinate a time to stop by and drop it off. Use this time to tell them about Delta Coves, what you love about it, how they can get involved, and even some of your favorite events they shouldn’t miss.
