Tell us about yourself.
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years. We have two daughters, two sons, a 3-year old granddaughter and another on the way! My family is my entire world.
How long have you worked at Delta Coves?
I started in September 2019 as an ambassador in the Welcome Center. I was a great fit having an abundance of knowledge on the Delta waterways. I then transitioned into my position of community coordinator in 2021 and am now the community engagement manager.
What's your favorite thing about the area?
The eclectic mix of people.
How long have you called the Delta home?
I was born and raised in Walnut Creek, CA but frequented the Delta often with my parents and brother. Since moving to Oakley in 2009, I am now on the water at least 3 days a week during the summer months and even venture out during the winter to watch my family fish.
What inspired you to become the Engagement Manager at Delta Coves?
I come from a long line of party planners, and was raised helping my Nana and Mom execute the most exquisite events. I would watch them down to every small detail, and I now find myself doing the same. Party planning and event planning has come naturally to me since a young age.
What's your favorite Delta Coves event to put on?
My favorite Delta Coves event to put on is the Pirate Picnic for Talk Like a Pirate Day. I’ve always had a love for pirates — maybe I can blame that on Johnny Depp.
Do you have a favorite thing to cook for potlucks?
I always bring a chinese chicken salad — it’s always a hit and goes quickly. I use a recipe that was handed down to me.
What's your favorite vacation?
My favorite place to camp is Golden Pines in Arnold. It’s a fairly small campground with a cozy feel. We made day trips to Lake Alpine, Big Trees forest, Spicer reservoir and found a nice fishing spot on the Stanislaus river.
Are you involved with any volunteer work?
I hold a seat on my own HOA board of directors, along with helping the youth within my own neighborhood. Our community has named us the St. Arnault bike shop. We have kids stop by weekly for bike repairs, tire pump ups, etc. While it isn’t volunteer work, it feels just as important.
What's a fun fact about yourself you'd like to share?
I am crazy for Christmas. I start my Christmas shopping in April/May to ease the stress of coming months. My sons and granddaughter help me bake several types of Christmas cookies to hand out to neighbors. I’m also a skeleton and leopard fanatic. October is my favorite month to shop for home decor. Finally, my family and neighbors dress like sasquatches for Halloween. It’s an annual tradition that gets lots of laughs.
