Island Camp refresh means closures

During the 2025 budget season last fall, your board of directors approved a planned capital improvement project — re-staining Island Camp. For safety, the project requires blocking resident access to buildings within the amenity while work is being completed. Community Life organized a rolling schedule to limit closure impact.

Closure dates

Make note of the closure dates for the Island Camp refresh. The amenity will remain fully open on Saturdays and Sundays during this process.

  • Sept. 22 – 26 | Club room closed
  • Sept. 23 – 24 | Movement studio closed
  • Sept. 29 – Oct 3 | Fitness center and Community Life office closed
  • Oct. 6 – Oct. 10 | Picnic pavilion and partial restroom closure
  • Oct. 13 – Oct. 17 | Pool closed

Why refresh Island Camp?

It’s more than making Island Camp look pretty. Staining and resealing Island Camp helps protect the materials used to finish the amenity and lengthens their lifespan. Furniture replacement in the picnic pavilion and pool areas – due to regular use and exposure to the elements — will occur after staining completion. More details to follow.

Will the restrooms be closed?

During the staining process, the restrooms will remain open as there are two doors — facing the pool and facing the breezeway. Access will be limited to one door while staining in the area — closing access to the door currently being worked on then swapping to the other door. If you see one door blocked, please go around to the other door.

Your board of directors and Community Life are excited to bring this project to life and improve your amenity experience.
