Update: Island Camp vehicular gate access

Island Camp’s vehicular gates will be activated Friday, Jan. 29, which means you’ll need a transponder to pass through them. Each Delta Coves household gets two complimentary transponders, and they’re super easy to request.

The vehicular gate entry point will recognize your current key fobs as well as your new vehicular transponder, granting entry to one car at a time. Please be cautious when entering and exiting Island Camp’s gates. You can also continue to walk into Island Camp along the West Wind sidewalk.

SDC Delta Coves partnered with a company leading the vehicular gate industry. Our Island Camp gate is top-of-the-line in technology and security. Industry experts are moving away from a code entry system and towards gates being controlled by fobs, facial recognition, and apps. We encourage you to test each option (facial recognition is not yet activated) and let us know what you think.

Depending upon construction activity on the Island Camp property and builder prospect tours, the vehicular gates may remain open during business hours. The gates will close nightly and be accessible only with a transponder or your key fob.

How to request a transponder

Fill out the Amenity Access Request form and be sure to select “no” to the question: Have you ever previously obtained a Delta Coves key fob or transponder? (You’ll select no even if you already have your key fobs, because it’s the first time you’re requesting your transponders.)

Once we receive your submitted request form, we’ll program your transponders and email you when they’re ready to be picked up. You’ll install the transponder on the lower left corner of your driver’s side front windshield. And don’t worry if the gates are closed before you’ve picked up your transponder, your key fob will work on the control panel, too.

Need an additional transponder?

Each Delta Coves household is allowed to purchase one additional transponder (for a total of three) for $15. To request your third transponder, just fill out the Amenity Access Request form a second time and select “yes” to the question: Have you ever previously obtained a Delta Coves key fob or transponder?

Mobile app access

There’s one more way to open the gates—through an app on your phone. It comes in handy when you drive to Island Camp in a friend’s car and accidentally leave your key fob at home.

Download the BluSKY mobile app by BluB0X and you’ll be able to open any of our community’s gates with a touch of your finger. You’ll soon receive an email confirming your log-in credentials. Once downloaded, you can select the portal (gate or door) you’d like to briefly open. Let us know if you’d prefer an in person demonstration.
