While winter weather means fewer adventurers brace the cold lagoon waters and high winds impact our water sports, Delta Coves still buzzes with neighborhood activity. Check out the events, club meet ups, and construction updates from Dec. 2024 through Feb. 2025.

Decorate Your Dock contest
Every year, residents deck out their docks, decks, and rear yards to showcase their winter holiday spirit. Congrats to Jill and Scott Lichlyter for being the neighborhood favorite in 2024.

Even with the rain pouring down, residents still showed up to support Bethel Island Children’s Support – raising $900 and bringing toys and coats to donate to their annual children’s holiday party. Thanks for all who participated and congratulations to our winners: Alec Kirshner for the 5k and Reid Anderson for the 10k

We bring the coffee and doughnuts, you show up and chat with your neighbors in a regular event to bring neighbors together.

Resident-led functions
December potluck
Holiday spirit spilled out of Island Camp at the final resident potluck of the year. Thanks to our potluck crew for a santa-bulous time with the jolly man from the north pole, and to the Delta Coves neighbors for bringing good eats, delicious drinks, and their cheerful spirits.
Holiday boat parade
Neighbors spruced up their boats with twinkling lights for a cruise around the lagoon – spreading joy and cheer to everyone who watched from their dock or rear yard. Even with the unpredictable weather, they were able to parade around on two different nights.
Neighborhood watch info session
The Contra Costa County Sheriff joined neighbors at Island Camp to chat about starting a Neighborhood Watch program. Thanks for hosting and setting the event up, Terry Chew.

The business side of things
Governance
Your board of directors held two executive meetings and one general meeting this winter to discuss DCMC business, proposing rule changes and confirming the company to preside over the 2025 resident-director election this coming summer.
Maintenance
On top of ongoing maintenance and repair work, Community Life coordinated testing the fire systems at Island Camp – keeping the community in compliance with local regulations, scrubbed the grills squeaky clean, and power washed the amenity to keep it looking nice.
