Island Camp revamp reveal

Several years of regular use and exposure to the elements meant it was time to bring life back into the Island Camp facade and exterior furniture. Your board of directors approved funding these much needed updates as capital improvement projects in the 2025 annual budget, and Community Life got to work.

Staining the walls

The wood façade adorning Island Camp’s buildings started looking more weathered than camp chic. Crews worked systematically around Island Camp, minimizing resident impact while making the amenity shine once more. Regular staining and sealing treatments extend the lifespan of the siding, lessening costs in the long run.

Replacing furniture

Survey says — many residents noticed the fading, dirty and worn furniture in the picnic pavilion this year. Your board and Community Life did, too — planning for replacement furniture in 2025. Out with the old and in with the new — crews pulled and donated old furniture while installing fresh pieces to spruce up the much-used space.

Striping the parking lot

Where, oh where did the parking spaces go? Sun-fading and regular use wore out the parking lot dots and striping — making it hard to find the actual parking spaces. New dots and stripes have arrived looking bright and fresh at all hours of the day.

Still to come

The pool remains a popular hangout — with use increasing as more residents move into the community. Normal wear and tear combined with sun exposure damaged much of the pool furniture this summer. Not to fret! New poolside loungers are in the works — and expected to arrive in late 2025 or early 2026.

See something?

While we do try to keep an eye out, Community Life cannot be everywhere all at once. We rely on our neighbors to team up with us to keep the neighborhood looking great and functioning well.
