Taking feedback to heart

Your Delta Coves board of directors and Community Life team are listening. As the community grows, the wants and needs of our neighbors change. Resident feedback — through surveys, the community concern form, or emails — helps us improve. We’ve responded to questions and suggestions from the survey below.

Transparency in governance

Info about Delta Coves Maintenance Corporation (DCMC) lands on Governance page of the website — this includes upcoming meeting agendas, past meeting minutes, and monthly financial reports. Find general board meetings scheduled for the calendar year on the events calendar — with updates happening quickly if the meeting date changes. And, residents can reach out to with any further questions or comments they’d like to share with the board.

Refresh at Island Camp

Community Life and your board see the picnic pavilion furniture, too, and we’re making plans to change it. The 2025 fiscal year budget includes a refresh to the Picnic Pavilion and Island Camp pool furniture — plus staining Island Camp and the Duffy Boat Bar bar top. Look for more info in Delta Coves News emails this fall.

Other changes to the Island — including suggestions to replace the sand volleyball court, request for an indoor pickleball court, and second pool — will have to wait until after the community build out has been completed and residents can vote on any special assessments or dues increases to offset the construction costs.

Design review edits

To help neighbors through the Design Review process, Community Life developed checklists for each type of modification so you know what info to grab before you start. Keep an eye on your email for their official launch.

Compliance communication

Compliance notices go out based on both community concern submissions and random compliance tours. Dive into the compliance timeline and resolution process to see what happens when neighbors don’t respond to notices. Keep in mind, we do not publish who receives a notice in order to protect their privacy.

Security installations

Based on feedback and recent events, the master developer and your board of directors instructed Community Life to make some additions to the community:

  • Bollards can be found at pedestrian entries to keep vehicles off the walking paths.
  • No Trespassing signage now hangs from every vehicular and pedestrian entry, allowing the Sheriff to take action if non-residents venture through and cause damage.
  • Nighttime security — paid for by the developer — patrols Island Camp and the community from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Feedback to survey suggestions

With so many passionate members with differing ideas on how the community should look and feel, it becomes imperative to balance everyone’s needs with local, state, and even national laws. Reach out if you’d like to chat about your survey suggestions.

  • Customizing Island Camp — Music can be changed in the club room and picnic pavilion and indoor TV channels can be changed by visiting residents.
  • Pickleball path — A walkway buildout will happen during future hardscapes projects.
  • Pool changes — Fair Housing laws do not allow DCMC to offer adult only pool time and the county dictates heat levels in both the pool and jacuzzi.
  • Amenity reservation costs — Current amenity reservation rates come from a previous resident survey. The board plans to explore options for amenity reservations and provide a path to move forward.
  • Gym hours — The fitness center and movement studio cannot be accessed without allowing entry into the outdoor spaces — the event lawn, boat bar, and firepits. Your board of directors chooses to respect your fellow residents living near the amenity and their need for quiet hours by keeping the amenity operating hours the same.
