With several holidays just around the corner, it’s a good time to review our community’s holiday decoration guidelines, which you can find in the Residential Design Guidelines (Section 4.48) for Delta Coves.
Although we encourage your holiday spirit, residents do need to adhere to the following for their outdoor decorations and lights.
Guidelines for fall and Halloween
- Ghosts and gobins, oh my — lights and decorations for Halloween are permitted between Oct. 1 and Nov. 6.
- Let the pumpkins and turkeys out — fall decor is allowed between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30.
- Keep the roof clear — only lights may be mounted on roofs.
- Say no to speakers — exterior holiday music is not allowed, except for exterior music for personal and social enjoyment in outdoor living spaces, provided it does not disturb other residents.
Holiday and Christmas rules
- Time to shine — exterior holiday and Christmas lights and/or decorations are permitted between Thanksgiving and Jan. 10.
- Only lights may be mounted on the roof.
- Leave the sound at the door — exterior holiday music is not allowed, except for exterior music for personal and social enjoyment in outdoor living spaces, provided it does not disturb other residents.
Other holidays
- Spread cheer — lights and decorations for other holidays (like Easter, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving) may be installed no more than two week prior to the holiday and must be removed within one week after the holiday.
Docks, decks, and gangways
- Make the lagoon shine — holiday decorations are not only allowed, but encouraged on docks, gangways, and decks within your lagoon zone.
