The weather isn’t the only thing heating up this spring. Delta Coves’ calendar flows with events ranging from education to fun. Dive into what went down this spring, then head to the events calendar to plan out your summer.
Community Life events
New neighbor whale-come
Delta Coves residents — both new and existing — come together at Island Camp for sweet treats. Community Life joins in to answer any questions. Want to help new residents feel right at home? Join the warm whale-come crew.
Dog Paddle paw-ty
Residents rated it two paws up as they raced around the new off-leash grassy area for frolicking and playing. Delta Divas – a local grooming salon – joined in on the fun offering a little puppy TLC onsite. Catch up on the event pics for your daily puppy fix.
Lagoon Care 101
Every spring, the California Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) joins LakeTech to share a status update on lagoon health, the care plan, and what residents can do to keep the lagoon thriving. Head to the lagoon dock to catch up.
Spring Fling
Kids of all sizes hopped into Island Camp for a fun egg hunt and visit from Mr. Hoppy on the event lawn. After, families enjoyed snacks in the picnic pavilion while catching up with neighbors. Jump through the memories.
S'mores by the shore
How do you s’more? From the marshmallow toastiness rating to type of chocolate filling and graham shell, each treat provides a unique flavor that’s almost comforting and familiar. However you like your marshmallows, s’mores by the shore brings neighbors together by the (Island) camp-fire.
Catch of the Day Fishing Derby
Neighbors got together in the rain to cast a line into the lagoon — trying to come up with the biggest fish of the day. Congratulations to Terry Chew and Kaylee — winners of the adult and youth categories respectively. Reel in your favorite moments.

Clubs
Two new clubs launched this season bringing more yoga to the movement studio and science education to the community. Sunset stretch and yoga breath is the first initiative from Live Healthy DC and Curiosity Cove shared a wealth of knowledge on DNA and Gravity Probe B. Plus, water aerobics splashed back into action at the Island Camp pool for anyone looking for a low impact workout during the week.

DCMC business
Governance
Election season kicked off with the call for nominations from DCMC’s 2025 inspector of elections — Pro Elections. The current board held an executive session in April and a general session in March where four proposed rule changes were approved. Member comments and the adoption vote for these rule changes takes place at the May general board meeting.
Outside of regular business, the board reviewed several proposed plans to fix the pool heat system — approving the solution with the longest expected lifespan.
Maintenance
Your maintenance team tackled regular community maintenance including power washing Island Camp and surrounding to maintain cleanliness and prevent breakdowns from dust and grime buildup.
Community Life also worked on special projects like coordinating the pool heater repair, fixing the damaged gate arm at Sandy Lane, and starting to plan for a freshen up of Island Camp included in this year’s budget.
