Lagoon
Who's responsible for the lagoon?
The lagoon provides the water vistas and an aquatic playground for our community — and it’s important to keep it healthy. While the California Division of Boating and Waterways is ultimately responsible for all Delta waters, each of us play a role in maintaining our beloved lagoon. Here’s how the pieces fit together:
- Delta Coves Maintenance Corporation (DCMC): Cares for common area lagoon zones and works with homeowners, the board of directors, DBW, and the developer to help preserve the lagoon for residents to enjoy.
- California Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW): Overseeing Delta waterways and administering herbicide treatments.
- Homeowners: Maintain individual lagoon zones.
- Developer and Builders: Manage developer lagoon zones and work with builders to keep builder lagoon zones clean.
- Lake Tech: Provides water quality monitoring support.
