Keep the pool running smoothly

Jetting down to the Island Camp pool? Freshen up on these rules to keep the amenity running smoothly.

Bring these:

Keyfob

You need your resident access to get into the pool.

Appropriate attire

Swimwear appropriate for a family-friendly setting for the pool, plus shirts, bottoms, and shoes if you plan to visit the rest of Island Camp.

Hair ties

Long hair tangles easier and can cause hairballs in the filter. Unlike cats, the filters can’t cough them back up. Consider tying up hair longer than chin length.

Nonslip shoes

Many of the hard surfaces around Island Camp get slippery when wet.

Flotation device

Only Coast Guard approved (Types I, II, III) are allowed in the pool.

Good attitude

Shouting and abusive language is not allowed at Island Camp. Only fun, positive vibes allowed.

Pool Hours

The pool is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week.

Guest policy:

  • Limits – No more than 4 guests (child and adult) per household.
  • No drop and go – Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.

Leave it at home:

  • Glass of any kind (including glass lenses)
  • Pets
  • Pool loungers, kickboards, fun noodles, footballs, water guns, water balloons, etc.
  • Speakers or boomboxes unless using headphones.
  • Valuables or anything you don’t want lost or stolen.
  • Smoking or vaping devices of any kind.
  • Any type of weapon.

Eats and drinks:

  • Food  ok in approved containers (no glass).
  • Alcohol – prohibited in the pool area
  • Keep your distance – food and drink must stay 4 feet or more away from the pool and jacuzzi at all times.

Keep things safe:

  • No lifeguard on duty! Use the pool at your own risk.
  • Keep gates closed – No propping gates. Please make sure they latch behind you when you enter and exit.
  • Rinse off – Before heading into the pool, use the outdoor showers to rinse off any oils or lotions.
  • No diving Running, jumping, and horseplay are also prohibited.

Kids rules:

  • Diapers – Prevent accidents. Use reusable diapers and rubber swim pants together. 
  • Potty Breaks – Take bathroom and rest breaks regularly. Check and change diapers during this time as well.
  • Age limits – Children under 15 must be accompanied by someone 19 years of age or older at all times.
  • Spa rules – Children under 5 cannot use the spa, Ages 5 to 13 must be accompanied into the spa by an adult. Keep in mind, use is not recommended under the age of 18.

Before you take off from the pool, check around your area for any loose items, pick up trash, and leave your area the way you found it or better.
